In the early 90's I lived in Lawrence and did part time work in theater at the Wichita Center for the Arts in Wichita, which called for a lot of driving. This video was an experiment to try and capture the feeling of an endless commute, from Lawrence to Wichita and back. Music is a jam between Mick Watts (guitar) and Curtis Martins (percussion), released by Demolition Kitchen in 1987. Topic: Demolition Kitchen Video
Drake Saga Remix I had fun rearranging gops (Groups Of Pictures) from my 2007 video The Drake Saga and giving it a catchy bootie mashup audio track called Justice for Billie Jean A Group of Pictures is a concept for video compression. Each one is: a full frame (AKA "keyframe" or "I-frame") (kinda like a JPEG, etc.) of a video followed by partial frames (AKA "P-frames" and "B-frames") (imagine a bunch of smaller tiles that contain parts of the video for... some fun with new ffmpeg filtergraph features. I had wanted to make a fully lit (eg: sunny) video be more like a dimly lit and blurry video -- using just filtergraph time shifts and blends. My plan/hope was to make areas of motion blur, and make areas that remained the same seem untouched. it worked! 8-) Original source was a shot of WWDC 2013 taken by Hunter Lee Brown. Script/source code is below. The gist of the code is to fidget the source to 10 seconds in, slightly smaller, and rotated 90... Topics: ffmpeg, filtergraph, filterchain, blur, experimental video

Fragmenten, experimental video. This originally came from a collaboration with Joep Van Liefland where I was playing with 16mm projections and wound up shooting the image onto his torso. Then while playing with the video I ran it through an early video projector with the settings turned down added a cheap solarizing effect. Since the footage was short I slowed the video image down as slow as the player would allow. The soundtrack is made up of the sound of the original session which was...
